Stacklands is way better than it looks. Tight core loop, doesn’t overstay its welcome, and it’s cheap too. Easy recommendation.

Merge Maestro feels like it could’ve popped off if it released a few years earlier. Definitely worth your time - just maybe skip the very highest difficulties.

Returnal punches way above its weight. One of the few AAA roguelites, and it mostly delivers.Great combat once it clicks. Starts slow, peaks about 2/3 in, but overall a strong game.

Space station sim that’s much better than you’d expect. Can be a bit buggy, but it’s still a fun mix of station building and passport checking.

Crafting your own janky spells stays fun all the way to the end. Hard to master, but you don’t need to be great at it to finish - experimentation is half the joy.

Not exactly hidden, but already shaping up to be one of the best in the genre. Tons of content, even in EA, and an amazing gameplay loop that’s hard to put down.

Sadly abandoned but now free. It brings enough of a twist that even after Slay the Spire and Monster Train, it still manages to feel distinct.

Slightly slower roguelite deckbuilder in the Slay the Spire vein, but it punches way above its pay grade. Gorgeous art and a really satisfying gameplay loop.

A Diablo-like with way more depth than its art style suggests. The genre has few truly great games, and this one is almost never mentioned when it absolutely should be.
