This was the first real attempt at a narrative in a Borderlands game, and for what it tried it does a good job of investing the player into the story and characters. Best Vault Hunters in the series.

This spin-off while having some of the most fun combat in the series, lacks heavily in the story department. It's definitely a worthwhile game for its gameplay features alone though.

The series' change to a traditional JRPG starts in 7. Ichiban is an incredibly funny and down to earth protagonist and his party is just as likeable, it's a big change but still a worthy "Yakuza" game

Family is the most prominent in this one, originally set to be Kiryu's final game it's a great send off to a great character. Wrapping up the overall story and introduces a new combat system.

Kiryu's story and arc in this one take a dramatic shift, the story in this one is easily it's strongest point just like it's combat being the smoothest it's ever been in the series. A must play

Building off of Y3, this game introduces new characters which all play entirely different. Alongside their stories being varied the overall gameplay is much faster in general, highly reccommend this.

Storytelling and gameplay wise it's definitely finding its footing but the city and visuals alongside the abundance of new heat actions and characters you come to meet make this an amazing Yakuza game

It's very cinematic and very slow, and longer than it should be, but the story here is really cool and the setting combines The Walking Dead with Sons of Anarchy.
