The art is fantastic and the movement is snappy. Unfortunately, the gameplay is a bit of a slog, and there is a lot of annoying gotcha enemies/damage. No performance issues, but I haven't played much.

Dead Cells is a great Metroidvania game with roguelike elements. I hate backtracking, and so far I haven't had to do any. Runs are relatively short, and there's a lot to explore. Highly recommended!

RimWorld is one of the best base-building games. It's a lot more narrative-based than Dwarf Fortress, so the runs are consistently fun. I recommend not save scumming since dire situations are fun.

Darktide had a rocky launch, but its current state is good. It always had top-notch gameplay even at launch. The shooting is very meaty, and the melee is just as good as Vermintide.

Vermintide 2 is my favorite horde shooter. The game is pretty similar to Left 4 Dead, but the melee combat is way better. The dark atmosphere is awesome. If you want to kill some rats, buy this game.

Pit People is an SRPG in the style of the Behemoth. It's pretty fun, and there is a cool Pokemon-like collecting. There isn't much replayability, so don't buy this expecting to play >100 hours.

The pixel art style drew me into this game. Unfortunately, the gameplay loop isn't even complete. There's not much to do after several islands. There was potential but the game will remain unfinished.

FTL is still great after years. It's the quintessential spaceship roguelite. There's a lot of replayability, and if you get bored, there are always off-Steam mods.
