Don't play Destiny 2 on Deck. The developers have stated that users running the game and bypassing the incompatibility on SteamOS will get banned. This game will work on Decks with Windows installed.

Runs amazing on the Deck, as you'd expect for a 2D game. I recommend using "Basic Ambidexterous" controller configuration by Piers. It allows you to use any joystick, trackpad or D-Pad on Deck.

Runs very well on Deck at default settings. Be sure not to skip shader pre-caching, otherwise you'll experience stuttering on asset loading. 40-50 FPS in large areas, but still very playable.

The text can be a little hard to read at times. For extended battery life, change the in-game framerate limit to 30 FPS or the screen refresh rate to 40Hz.
