If you liked X-COM, you'll like this. It doesn't feel as pants-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tense as X-COM but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gets close. rip in peace alpha team ;_;

Empire is extremely unstable, but a lot of fun (esp with mods.) I'm playing a world domination game as Mexico right now and it is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome. - EB

The learning curve on this game tends to approximate a giant prehensile ♥♥♥♥ that's slapping you in the face, but with guides you'll be just fine.

No other RTS has ever made me feel even a twinge of guilt for letting units die. Extremely well-done game, even if you generally pass up RTS, try it.

After the release of Brave New World, Civ V got really, really good. If you have hours to waste this is the way to do it. Also great multiplayer.

Not quite as wild as Saints Row 2, but WAY more stable, so we've got a lot of play out of this one. The way to go if you hate crashes but love fun.
