Just a fully scripted visual novel, there's no simulation of any kind. Becomes thoroughly dull once you realize how little you can impact the story, and the forced ironman system makes it horrendous.

Starts off very dull, then improves, then you unlock society building and it's just a sad bunch of generic bonuses. Shows promise by letting you change which class staffs the police, but stops there.

I'd love to recommend this. But I cant recommend a game that crashed while saving and deleted (not corrupted, mind you, DELETED) my 200+ hours savegame.

Stellar. Ship design, combat, salvaging and fleet management are all enjoyable. The controls and UI are a highlight. Mining and manufacturing less so. I wish for map ownership and a dynamic economy.

Could have been great, but as of 2022 remains dead on arrival due to the static one-way trade flow system, which cannot be modded into anything decent due to circular flow instantly crashing the game.

Development is done, but there are too many remaining design deficiencies, and not all of them can be modded out. So I can't recommend it. And I especially hate that existing mods can't be edited.

Has the makings of a superb town builder, but the dev has made the infuriating design decision to severely restrict what women can do, to the point of making the game unfun. This cannot be modded yet.
