Miksi Early Access?

The three main goals of early access are to 1) build a field engine with broadcast style presentation 2) refine the roster building systems consistent with vision and scope and 3) expand the SportsZone tv show to include many new and more detailed segments.

Much time has been spent developing in isolation with very little player feedback. Early Access will allow development to continue but now according to the players.

Playable. It can simulate everything correctly. Basic roster building systems work. TV recap segments are functional.

We plan to raise the price as the game receives new updates and features.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

Players will have impact on the roster building systems specifically to achieve the desired vision of roster building without certain knowledge. They will have impact on what new segments get added to SportsZone, what they include as well as how the broadcast package in the field engine will work.

Players will have impact on almost anything that does not fundamentally change the scope and vision of the game. For example, this game will not ever be a management sim with heavy chores to do or a stick skills game like the AAA football games of the past. As a result, feedback like "add a full scouting combine" or "add managing the daily tasks and diets of players" or "add hit stick" will not be considered.

Gridiron Masters '98 simulates the sport of football and presents it to you in a sports network style. The bold colors and unforgettable design let you peak into a football world that encompasses 120 college teams in 10 conferences and 36 pro teams in the NFA. Enter a football world visually set in the 90's. The big pads, the neck rolls, waffle sole cleats, teal colored turf and larger than life sports personalities! About 98% of the art assets in this game are human authored. 100% are human edited.

Which assets used ai:

-Some of the pro logos that could not be satisfied with dev skills or outsourcing, about 13 in number.

-The purple images in the SportsZone intro. These were generated because no public domain photos of 1990s era football players exist and pixel art or digital art were not appropriate.

-The studio background and suit.

-The store page assets used public domain images which then received minor ai changes, colors, hair, text, etc. This was done because they needed to look like real photos rather than obvious composites.

-The tts engine that runs for the SportsZone segments probably doesn't count as ai but it does use cloning on composite/edited voice samples.
